Sturmian Words And $beta$-Shifts : Dynamics and Transcendence
Dong Pyo Chi, Doyong Kwon
Pages. 39-47

For a given Sturmian word s, we consider the minimal $eta$-shift containing the shift space generated by s. In this note we characterize such $eta$, and investigate its dynamical, topological and number theoretical properties.

1. Introduction.
2. Preliminaries.
3. Sturmian words and lexicographic order.
4. $beta$-shifts and self-sturmian numbers.
5. Dynamics of sturmian $beta$-transformations.
6. Transcendence of self-sturmian numbers.
